I thought that he left me for good this time.
He never disappeared or anything, I knew where he was.
He was cheating on me with the lady a few houses down, he wouldn't come home all summer.
I saw him on my walks, he would come to me, and let the Beh beh pet him, but he could not be coaxed to follow me back home. I guess the nice lady with the non-economy cat food decided not to let him in when the weather got cold, because a couple of nights ago, when it was particularly chilly, there he was sitting apprehensively up on top of my computer monitor, glaring down at the one eyed Owley cat below him. The same one eyed Owley cat that now sits on my back with her front paws and head resting on top of my head as I type this.
I forgave Pook for deserting me and offered him some catnip, for which he was very grateful.
